Each year we set aside an entire month to love, celebrate and raise monies to protect the Earth and its people.
We are all taking part in the 6mile walk for water on April 23rd and we really need your help, so please come into our salons and give us your generous donations. The Aveda walk for water happens in cities all over the world during Earth Month to raise awareness and funding for clean water organisations. We hope to contribute in raising £1000 for this campaign.

Presenting Mowgli’s Colour Vision Film
We are celebrating the launch of the new and improved Aveda Full Spectrum Colour range. We have created a short film titled COLOUR VISION that explores the amazing colour results achievable whilst using 96% naturally derived ingredients, that uses plant power instead of petrochemicals.
Inspired by the new Pure Pigments that push results to the next level, the film intends to inspire and demonstrate the full potential of naturally derived pigments, whilst still giving unbelievable shine and health to the hair. The vision was one girl with many different hair personalities. Everyone can connect with a part of each style and use it to create their own hair identity.
Creative Managing Director John Mulhern, and Creative Director Danny Puopolo won the Mens and Womens titles of the Aveda Pure Image Award competition last year out of all the Aveda salons in the UK, and they used this project as an opportunity to combine the talents of all the skilled hair stylists and makeup artists at Mowgli London and work as a combined creative force. They collaborated with Anthony Dean and James Sharpe of Etch Productions, resulting in 1.38 minutes of inspiring euphoria.
With short films being a current favourite method of showcasing work by the fashion industry, We have made this film to show the hair industry and our guests that fashion and beauty are as one, and that we are ahead of the game. We hope you enjoy.
HAIR AWARDS 2012
John Mulhern was invited to attend the 2012 Hair Awards at Altitude 360 Millbank Tower, hosted by Caroline Flack and Andrew Barton.
All of the industries top hair stylists were there to celebrate the consumer awards as voted by the public.
John’s favourite winner of the evening was Angelo Vallillo who won Salon Stylist of the Year.

TRAINEE TRIUMPH!
A fun evening was had by all at the 2012 Mowgli Trainee Academy Competition held in conjunction with the 2nd anniversary of our Lifestyle Salon & Spa.
Rising star Robin Bone took the winning trophy for her amazing pastel coloured creation. Sarah Jane Williams and Arek Glanowski came respectively 2nd and 3rd in a competition brimming with new talent!
Heading up our team of judges was Paul Falltrick, who honoured us with his professional industry expertise. The whole team at Mowgli showed their support and committment to team development by celebrating into the night with the young talent they value.
Aveda Colour Road Show
The seventh Aveda Autumn/Winter 2011 Colour Roadshow was showcased at Koko nightclub Camden, where the Aveda collection ‘Jewels of the Earth’ was presented.
John Mulhern and Danny Puopolo were invited to be part of the Aveda artistic team. The models that they worked on demonstrated the creative subtlety of colour achievable with the ‘Pure Pigments’ from the new Full Spectrum range.
The collection takes its inspiration from a variety of sources, including the glamour of goddesses from the silver screen and the 1930′s. Styles full of lustrous colour and rich texture were shown, using an amazing array of shades.
The new colour range will be launched in salon from January.
Aveda Pure Image Awards 2011
The team were really busy throughout the summer preparing their entries for the Aveda Pure Image Awards 2011 and September brought the finals to a head at ‘Public’ in Chelsea.
We were delighted and extremely proud that 3 of our team were chosen as finalists in each of their categories and Mowgli came out on top! Each finalist presented a total look model to an audience of colleagues, industry professionals and a panel of top judges, including Andrew Barton and photographer Jack Eames.
John Mulhern won the Men’s category (retained from last years winner, Lisa Wallmark).
Danny Puopolo won the Ladies cut and colour category, proving that we have some of the best talent looking after you! Check out our gallery to see the winning images.
